Staff Report

The Cumberland Regional High baseball team had one of its best seasons in recent memory in 2026, going 16-9 and earning a share of the Tri-County Conference’s Liberty Division title with Delsea Regional.

Two of the catalysts behind the Colts’ resurgence on the diamond were brothers Kam Fiorani, a junior infielder and pitcher, and senior Kevin Fiorani, a standout catcher. They were the heart of the Colts’ batting order, as Kam slightly bested his brother in batting average, .431 to .418, but both had tremendous seasons.

Kam finished with 31 hits, 31 runs scored 26 RBIs, five home runs, 10 doubles and 13 walks, while Kevin had 28 hits, 27 RBIs, three home runs and 12 walks. He finished his career with a .366 batting average that included 78 hits and 49 RBIs, while Kam already has 69 career hits, 59 runs scored an 34 RBIs with one full season left in his high school career.

South Jersey Glory Days Staff Writer Dave O’Sullivan caught up with the duo after a late May win over Delsea that ultimately allowed the Colts to grab a share of the division title.

Check out our 5 QUESTIONS feature with Kevin and Kam Fiorani:

QUESTION: What’s been the best part of this season for you?

KEVIN: It has to be the way we’re hitting the baseball. (the Colts hit .319 as a team this year). It’s phenomenal. I love it.

KAM: It’s definitely what he said. We had a thing we just started this year — we’ve been hitting a lot of home runs, and Cumberland Regional’s not really known for stuff like that — so we had to come up with a little celebration and we have our home run chain.

QUESTION: If you could go back to your freshman year, what would you do differently?

KEVIN: Absolutely nothing. I’ve been putting the work in before I was even thought about in this program. Nothing, I would just keep working.

KAM: For me, it was different. When I came in there was a loaded senior class and I had to fight my way to get a position on the field. I would tell myself to just keep doing what you do, keep being that same ambitious kid and keep loving the game.

QUESTION: If you were a first-round pick in the Major League Baseball draft, what kind of car would you get (after signing your first contract)?

KEVIN: That’s a hard one! I’d probably say a Ferrari. I love that red color on a Ferrari. I’d go exotic.

KAM: Definitely, my first car would be a Bugatti. I’m more of a sports car type of dude. I like things that go fast.

QUESTION: What is your baseball moment that you’re most proud of?

KEVIN: That’s hard because I’ve had a few thousand days in this game, had some home runs. I’d say my proudest moment was my first home run this year, against Cherry Hill West.

KAM: If I had to go with an individual one, we went down to Myrtle Beach this season for spring training games and I hit three home runs in two days. That was pretty sweet.

QUESTION: Ten years from now, where do you see yourself and what do you want to say you’ve accomplished?

KEVIN: I see myself in the MLB, specifically on the New York Yankees. That’s my team! I’d want to be MVP of the league. It would be hard for me, though, because I’d be competing (with Kam) for the MVP!

KAM: I see myself competing for a World Series and competing for an MVP. I have the belief in myself.
