This school year, the South Jersey Glory Days staff will be having some fun with some of the athletes we cover in the form of a new feature called “5 Questions.” The goal is to highlight some of the upperclassmen who don’t normally get a lot of press coverage and give them a chance to let our fans get to know them — at least, briefly.

In this edition, Staff Writer Dave O’Sullivan talked with Egg Harbor Township senior goalie Abigail Lyon. She’s a four-year starter who is less than 20 saves away from 400 for her career. She had a career-high 157 last season, and this year helped the Eagles jump out to a 5-0 start.

5 Questions with EHT senior goalie Abigail Lyon:

If you started your own high school, what would the school colors be?

Hot pink. And white.

Who on your team thinks they are the best singer on road trips?

Oh, gosh. Probably Aniyah (Parker, senior midfielder).

How many times do you hit the snooze button in the morning before you get up?

At least five. I have eight alarms set in the morning so I can get up. It usually takes at least four or five, depending on the day.

Who was your middle school celebrity crush?

Somebody from One Direction. Anybody from One Direction, actually!

If you were in an action movie, would you be the hero or the villain, and why?

The Villain. It sounds like that would be more fun.
