You’d have to break both Ava Kraybill’s legs, and probably both arms, too, to get her out of a soccer, basketball or flag football game.
One of the toughest athletes South Jersey has produced, pretty much ever, Kraybill’s grit and determination were an inspiration to the Eagles teams she helped lead. She wasn’t the leading scorer on any of the teams she played for, but she brought a good amount of offense in all three sports to go along with her relentless defense.
Kraybill was a defensive midfielder in soccer and a receiver in flag football, but on the basketball court is where she really shined. She complimented Averie Harding well and was the team’s second-leading scorer as a senior. She finished with 872 points while adding more than 400 rebounds and more than 200 assists. She also made 79 threes and had 282 steals.
