If you watched the Rancocas Valley High football team warm up last season, Brody Deiter didn’t really stand out as a guy you had to worry about. He’s 6-foot-3 but only 175 pounds, looked a tad skinny in those football pads.
But anyone who underestimated him definitely paid the price, as he put together one of the best wide receiving seasons in the state in 2024.
Deiter caught 76 passes for more than 1,300 yards and an incredible 18 touchdowns in just 12 games, helping to lead the Red Devils to a 9-3 record that included a trip to the South Jersey Group 5 championship game.
He had more than 100 yards in eight of RV’s 12 games, including 254 yards in a loss to Camden and 171 in the sectional title game. Deiter finished his outstanding career with 155 catches for 2,500-plus yards.
