Ocean City senior striker Faith Slimmer did just about everything you can think of during her high school soccer career. She scored more than 100 goals in four seasons, led her team to the 2019 Group 3 state championship. Earned all-state honors multiple times.
Now she can call herself an All-American.
Slimmer was one of 45 players throughout the country selected to play in the Girls High School All-American Game in St. Louis, Mo., sponsored by Bimbo, Adidas and Continental Tire. The game is set for May 29. Slimmer, a Rutgers University commit, will play for the East All-Stars, coached by Hunterdon Central’s Jeannine Calhoun and Casey Rupon. This is the 2020 game that was originally scheduled for last spring in Florida.
Slimmer will be playing for a team that includes eight New Jersey players, including future Rutgers teammates Kylie Daigle (The Pennington School), Gia Girman (Nottingham), Cameron Kennett (Toms River North), Emily Mason (Hunterdon Central) and Riley Tiernan (Eastern Regional).
