The state playoffs in soccer and field hockey are in full swing as we are barreling toward sectional championship games, so let’s take a quick look to see what’s happening around South Jersey and get you up to date on the various brackets.

BOYS SOCCER

SOUTH JERSEY GROUP 4: Top-seeded Washington Township survived a scare in the second round against Southern Regional, needing a shootout to advance after a scoreless tie, but in its other two sectional wins the Minutemen have outscored opponents 14-2. Their looking for their first sectional title, when they went 25-1 and beat Jackson Memorial for the sectional title and Morris Knolls for the overall Group 4 state championship.

Championship: (3) Toms River North at (1) Washington Township, Saturday, 10 a.m.

SJG3: Shawnee, which lost in the title game a year ago to Cherry Hill West, outlasted Ocean City in overtime in the semis to punch it’s ticket to Saturday’s title game. Clearview, though, has just two losses all year and is unbeaten in its last nine games.

Championship: (2) Shawnee at (1) Clearview, Saturday, 2 p.m.

SJG2: Delran and West Deptford collide in the title game after each narrowly survived upset bids in the semis. Delran has been one of the best Group 2 teams in South Jersy for years, and has won five straight.

Championship: (2) West Deptford at (1) Delran, Saturday, 11 a.m.

SJG1: It was all chalk in this bracket as Palmyra and Schalick advance to the title game. Schalick is coming off a pair of 1-0 wins, while Palmyra has outscored its three opponents 12-1.

Championship: (2) Palmyra at (1) Schalick, Saturday, 11 a.m.

SOUTH JERSEY NON-PUBLIC A: St. Augustine Prep, which has had an outstanding year, is still alive, but for how long? The Hermits take on top-seeded Christian Brothers Academy today in the semis.

Semifinals: (4) St. Augustine Prep at (1) CBA, today, 3 p.m. (3) Pingry at (2) St. Peter’s Prep, tonight at 7.

SOUTH JERSEY NON-PUBLIC B: Only one actual South Jersey team remains, and it’s top-seeded Moorestown Friends, which lost recently in the Friends League Tournament but has won six of its last seven overall.

Semifinals: (12) Noor-ul-iman at (1) Moorestown Friends, today, 3 p.m. (10) Princeton Day at (3) St. Rose, today, 3 p.m.

GIRLS SOCCER

SJG4: Top-seeded Eastern lost in the second round, paving the way for No. 4 Kingsway to ride into the championship game. On the other side of the bracket, No. 6 Cherokee made a run to the semis before falling to No. 2 Central Regional.

Championship: (4) Kingsway at (2) Central Regional, Monday, 3:30 p.m.

SJG3: It seems that Ocean City and Shawnee have been on a collision course since the start of the postseason, and each team has taken care of business through three rounds, although the Red Raiders did need overtime to beat Moorestown in the semis. Shawnee, on the other hand, has outscored its three opponents 15-0.

Championship: (2) Shawnee at (1) Ocean City, Monday at 2 p.m.

SJG2: In another bracket where the top seed went down, Cinnaminson upset Sterling — the Coaches Cup winner — in the semis, setting up a title game against a Seneca team that has been dominating opponents to the tune of a 17-2 goal advantage.

Championship: (4) Cinnaminson at (2) Seneca, Monday at 2 p.m.

SJG1: Neither Audubon or Schalick has been scored upon during the state playoffs, so something has to give on Monday!

Championship: (3) Schalick at (1) Audubon, Monday at 3 p.m.

SOUTH JERSEY NON-PUBLIC A: This bracket doesn’t have any South Jersey teams remaining, as the semis feature St. John Vianney vs. Princeton Day and Trinity Hall vs. Red Bank Catholic.

SOUTH JERSEY NON-PUBLIC B: Holy Spirit, under first-year coach and former single-season scoring leader Christine Conaghy, look to advance to the title game today with a win over Bishop Eustace. Looming on the other side of the bracket is No. 1 Rutgers Prep, one of the top teams in the state.

Semifinals: (3) Bishop Eustace at (2) Holy Spirit, today, 2 p.m. (5) Holy Cross Prep at (1) Rutgers Prep, today, 2 p.m.

FIELD HOCKEY (brackets currently are in semifinal rounds)

SJG4: Can anybody beat Kingsway? That’s the question in this bracket, as the Dragons have been dominant all season long. Their only two losses came to out-of-state programs and they’ve even beaten defending state champion Camden Catholic.

Semifinals: (4) Washington Township at (1) Kingsway, Saturday, 10 a.m. (6) Rancocas Valley at (2) Southern Regional, today at 3 p.m.

SJG3: Hammonton has been riding high since winning the Cape-Atlantic League but now they face top-seeded Shawnee. The other side of the bracket is all busted up as two of the top three seeds lost in the quarterfinals.

Semifinals: (5) Hammonton at (1) Shawnee, today at 2:30 p.m. (10) Cherry Hill West at (6) Clearview, today at 4 p.m.

SJG2: Haddonfield will be the place to be on Saturday morning as the Bulldogs and crosstown rival Haddon Heights do battle in the semis. Can anybody beat No. 1 Point Boro though? The Panthers have outscored opponents 19-1 so far in the playoffs.

Semifinals: (4) Seneca at (1) Point Boro, today at 3 p.m. (3) Haddon Heights at (2) Haddonfield, Saturday at 11 a.m.

SJG1: It’s nearly all chalk in this one, although Schalick is looking to crash the party, having already upset No. 3 Middle Township.

Semifinals: (4) Collingswood at (1) West Deptford, Saturday at 2 p.m. (6) Schalick at (2) Florence, today at 2 p.m.

NON-PUBLIC SOUTH: St. Joseph Academy is another one of those No. 6 seeds making a run, as the Wildcats went on a long road trip to beat St. Rose in the quarterfinals. Top-seeded Camden Catholic is a defending state champion.

Semifinals: (4) OLMA at (1) Camden Catholic, today at 4 p.m. (6) St. Joseph Academy at (2) Bishope Eustace, today at 4 p.m.
