Terrell Coleman has had plenty of success on the wrestling mat throughout his career. It looks as though he’s primed for even bigger and better things in his final season at Egg Harbor Township High School.
The senior 120-pounder ripped through the field on Dec. 29, winning the Arthur O. Marinelli Christmas Tournament hosted by the Eagles.
For his efforts, Coleman is our Bunting Family Pharmacy Athlete of the Week.
Coleman received a bye in the first round of the tournament, then racked up the points in an 18-5 major decision over Max Grosset, a junior from Clearview Regional. That victory put Coleman into the semifinals, where he pinned Burlington Township’s Alex LoPrinzi in just 55 seconds to earn a trip to the finals.
In the championship bout, Coleman got off to a good start and built a 4-0 lead before cruising to a 5-2 victory over Shamun Smith of Williamstown. Behind Coleman’s strong effort, Egg Harbor Township scored 146 points to finish second behind Haddonfield in the team scoring. With his three wins at the tournament, Coleman improved to 9-1 on the season.
