Abbey Ucci, Mainland cheer WEBWhat I like most about cheerleading: Constantly being surrounded by a group of amazing, encouraging people who never fail to make you feel included. My favorite thing to do with my team at games would be our dances and tumbling passes. The person I admire most is: My mother. Despite the fact she is a talented, award-winning author, she also has a full-time job of fulfilling everyone’s needs around her, and putting up with me on a daily basis. My most memorable sports moment is: Last year at a home football game, the team we were playing repeatedly told our entire cheer team and the band to stop playing because we were being too distracting; however, at that moment, the band, the cheerleaders, and nearly everyone in the stands cheered loudly in protest, because we felt it was necessary for us to support our team. It was an amazing moment when everyone came together like the family we are, and continued to show support for our football team. Why my school is the best: Because we truly are a family. Everyone is respectful, encouraging, helpful and overall nice to each other. I have actually been through four different schools in my life, including being homeschooled for five years. Some experiences are better than others. Mainland has been, by far, the best schooling experience of my life and I wouldn’t want to be anyplace else. My favorite sport is: Football My favorite music is: Country, such as Zac Brown Band or John Mayer Quote I live by: “Whisper words of wisdom, let it be…” [adsense]
