Gabriella Chilelli, Spirit cheerWEB2What I like most about cheerleading: During halftime when we get to show off all our hard work to our fellow students, teachers and fans with our routine. The person I admire most is: My gymnastics instructor, Jackie Kilkenny. From the moment I stepped into her class 10 years ago it has made me who I am today. She pushed me on and off the mat to be a better me. Showing me it was okay not to always be perfect and to always have confidence in myself with any task I took on in life. My most memorable sports moment: Dec. 8, 2012, when the football team won states. This day was also my birthday, and I wouldn’t have wanted a more perfect gift. When the clock ran out and we saw Holy Spirit had won, it left everyone speechless. Running out on to the field with my fellow cheerleaders and the fans was a priceless moment, one I will never forget. Why my school is the best: Holy Spirit is the best because at the end of the day we are a family. Through sports, clubs, school activities, we all participate in it. We love to give back to our community and to the less fortunate through the holidays with the food and coat drive. My favorite one of all is Everyone’s Children. Holy Spirit participates in gathering gifts for a child in Atlantic County, helping their Christmas be a little bit better. My favorite sports teams: Eagles, Phillies, Flyers.
